Back to where it all began!!!

We are back in good old Monroe, where it all started about six months ago. It has been an incredible journey so far. On the way South we really enjoyed our stay in Virginia. Spending time with Ron and Nancy and seeing Rachel and her family in Norfolk were especially enjoyable. The Jacksonville and Tampa campgrounds were good resting spots but we wouldn't want to spend long periods of time there. Elite Resort in Crystal River was by far the best spot that we stayed at. The facilities were outstanding (the pool was heated and the hot tub was hot) and the sites are excellent. There is plenty of space between sites and a choice of shaded or sunny sites. If you plan on doing any camping on the west coast of Florida be sure to put Elite Resorts at Crystal River on the top of your list. If you do go, look up Rosie at the guard house and tell her we sent you. She'll take good care of you. Mexico beach was a great place to visit and we will definitely go back, but the campground was a little iffy. Branson Missouri was also an excellent stop and we had a ball there. We are in the process of planning what comes next and are looking forward to the journey.

We are staying at Harbortown RV resort in Monroe Michigan while we get our house ready to sell. We had a 20 yard dumpster dropped off so we could empty the junk out of our house. It's 37 steps from the dumpster to our front door. I know because I've made the trip a million times since Saturday. All that stuff all of you of you are saving; remember someday, somebody will have to do something with it. Thanks to all of the help from the kids, the house is now just about empty. They both showed up over the weekend and were a huge help in getting things moved out and cleaned up. Later this week we will get at the painting and then hopefully we will be done. (What that really means is that Sheila will work her butt off and I"ll be goofing off, golfing or something else equally non-productive)
