We are starting to get into a regular routine here at Mexico Beach. We start every morning with a long walk on the beach, where we stock up on sea shells, then come home for one of my excellent omelets. After that it's time for miscellaneous errands and of course, a nap. Once this tired old body is properly rested it's off to the beach again. Only this time it's for fishing. We try to pick a different spot on the beach or head to the local fishing pier so we can get a little different view of these gorgeous sunsets every night.
The fishing has been a blast as we have not only caught a lot of fish but a wide variety of fish. We have caught a ton of sand trout (good eating), spotted trout, 1 small redfish, 1 small shark, catfish, whiting, sheephead, croakers, black bass and of course sting rays. We even managed to catch a couple of pompano which is one of our favorite fish to eat.
We have already extended our stay here a week and weather permitting (anything greater than 70 is good) we will probably stay here another week. That will put us into Crystal River the weekend after Thanksgiving and I can get back to some golfing. In the meantime it's back to the beach!!!
