We spent the last week doing the things that we enjoyed during our stay here last winter.
We started by visiting a couple of our favorite spots to watch the sun set over the Gulf. The sunsets down here are outstanding (they are pretty cool on lake Erie too but it's a lot warmer here) and we try to watch them a couple of times a week.
We also went kayak fishing last Monday. We hit the water with Rosie (poor John had to work) and had a great trip. Rosie caught a nice redfish, Sheila caught a real nice trout and as usual I caught nothing. (He got skunked because once again he wouldn't say "Here fishy fishy...)There is nothing more relaxing than exploring new areas of the coastline, while gliding quietly along on a kayak.
We are doing Thanksgiving dinner down at the clubhouse tomorrow. I doubt that it will be as good as last years turkey on the grill but it will be nice to meet up with the other campers (hopefully we can get the golf league started up) and Sheila won't have the usual huge mess to clean up. When I cook, I have a tendency to use a ton of pots, pans, silverware and dishes. The dinners usually come out pretty good but oh what a mess.
Just before the Browns game Sunday afternoon, Jerry Jondro called to make a small wager on the Detroit/Cleveland game (He's a die hard Lions fan, which is almost as bad as being a Browns fan). I thought for sure we would win that game. I still can't believe the Browns came up with yet another way to lose a game with no time left on the clock. I was too bummed out to even call Jerry and congratulate him but paying up will be fun (yes the bet was beer). I'm not sure my heart can take much more of being a Browns fan.
We rented a mail box down here this year and our address is:
