Ummmm Good

We arrived at Saco Maine today and after getting all settled in headed off to find a lobster dinner. We didn't have to go far and found a little hole in wall place. You ordered your food at a counter and ate on picnic tables but the lobsters were outstanding and affordable. (Dinner for 2 $25). Nothing like a couple of fresh cooked lobsters and a couple of draft beers. Life is good!! We are booked here for a week and then plan on working our way down the coast to Virginia, where we are camping with Ron and Nancy.

Every state is known for the bad habits of its drivers. Michigan drivers don't use turn signals, Florida drivers are constantly blaring their horns. Worst of all are Massachusetts drivers. Apparently nobody ever taught them how to merge into traffic on a thruway. All day long they kept moseying down the ramps at 45 mph and pulling into traffic like they owned the road. Time after time I kept slamming on the brakes to keep from ramming into one of those knuckleheads. When it comes to bad drivers Massachusetts is at the top of my list

During our stay in Eris were in Erie we were fortunate enough to get a waterfront site at Lampes' campground. We really enjoyed seeing the sunrises and as a bonus got to watch the US Brig Niagara cruise into the channel a few times. She is quite the vessel to watch under sail. Forget submarines, if you have to go to sea it should be on something like the Niagara.

  2. Ok, you 2 say Mass drivers are the worst... we've always said "Connecticut" because they run the ramps AND the sides of the roads as long as they can before they push over right in front of you at full speed.. We Luv Maine, but hate traveling thru Conn. Advise you 2 to go to Old Orchard Beach for fireworks on the beach. I think Thur or maybe Friday evenings....ask around & someone will know... have fun!
