Things are moving fast.

On Monday we sold the house; everything went pretty smoothly. I thought with the economy in Michigan being so depressed it would take forever to sell but you just never know.

After the house sold we went a purchased a new fifth wheel trailer. It's a Big Horn model built by Heartland. It's awesome and allows for a little room for visitors so if anyone wants to come visit while we travel you are definitely welcome. We pick it up on Thursday and can't wait to get moved in and check everything out.

Of course the new camper was too much for the old truck so a new truck was also needed. After looking around I decided that there was just no way I was going to spend 50K on a new truck and started looking for a good used Dodge 2500. There just weren't any around so I ended up with a Ford F250 with a diesel engine. It drives, sounds and smells like a big ol diesel truck. After three Dodges (that I really liked) I am a little apprehensive but "here we go".

With all of this purchasing activity Sheila has been pretty well stressed out to the max. At first I was a little undone but I just shifted my focus to giving Sheila all the support she needs (yeah right) and once again "life is good".

Hey Sis, checkout the hazy smokestacks. Not bad Eh?

  1. Those are great smoke stacks. Where is this beautiful smoke stack located and love the haze. Well, book me for an overnight stay not sure when but book me anyway.

  2. Congrats on the new purchases! We hope you don't try to burn down or flood this new one like you tried with the previous one in its first days of Teribery ownership. And please make "Carmen" feel at home in the new truck, or "she" might send you the wrong directions in your next set of travels! We'll see you in your travels back here to VA and journey with you to OBX NC before you see fall arrive!
