WOW what a crazy week!

Sheila got everything ready and we put the house up for sale on Monday. Here it is Wednesday and we just accepted an offer on the house. Who would have thunk it? With Michigan's current economic situation we thought it might take up to a year to sell our house. Boy were we pleasantly surprised. Hopefully things will progress smoothly from here and we will be homeless in about a month. Then we can either buy a new 5th wheel or move in with the kids.

Spent last weekend at a Robotics tournament with my old team. It was a ton of fun to watch those guys competing with this years robot. If you ever get a chance to attend a FIRST robotics tournament at your local high school, go check it out. I guarantee, you will be impressed at what these kids can do. They build some awesome machines and really put forth some effort to pull it all off. Bill Geal and Michelle Traster were the mentors of this years team and did a super job of keeping the kids interested and the bot they built was great to watch in action.

After the robotics tournament we cruised to a graduation party at Deb Trevarrows (a former co-worker that I nick-named Good Deb). Talk about great graduation parties, this was it! It was fun to check in with many of my old co-workers and listen to their war stories about our last refueling outage. It was especially fun to kick back and spend time with Deb Kellar (who I nick- named Bad Deb) and my old boss Jon Davis. Deb was one of the hardest working people I knew (along with good Deb) and Jon was truly something to watch in action. I was fairly successful at my job and most of that was due to just watching Jon in action and the way he conducted himself at the millions of meetings that we were required to attend. He seems to be very content at work now. I guess my retiring made his life a whole lot easier LOL.

  1. Well! your kids must have used some magic paint to make the house sell quicker. I think u must owe them som e big money. That they in turn can share with their favorite aunt.
