It's Official

As of today I am officially a retired employee of DTE Energy. After 25 years it's over. I celebrated by playing a round of golf with some guys here at the campground and had a blast.

Another group here does weekly kayak trips and we signed up for the trip tomorrow. We are really looking forward to the trip and hopefully will see a lot of neat stuff. We have became friends with some folks who live in the area (Rosie and John) and have learned two more of life's lessons as they pertain to kayaking in Florida.

Lesson #6 Do not paddle towards tires in the water (yes they are alligators).

Lesson # 7 Do not wash your hand in the water after handling the fish you just caught. Yes there are sharks and it makes no sense to use your fingers as chum.

Things were sure a lot easier in good old Lake Erie. All you had to worry about was not tipping over. In hindsight that was pretty easy.
