Outer Banks

We are at the Outer banks. If you love water, and I do, this place is gorgeous. I really enjoy just being on the beach and watching the ocean. It's pretty windy here so the surf is usually rolling pretty good, and it's relaxing just to watch the waves breaking.

Fishing is the most popular past time down here this time of the year. Pier fishing is relatively popular but surf fishing seems to to be the most popular thing. We tried both today. Ron and Nancy have joined us here and Ron is trying his best to teach me the finer points of surf fishing. Too bad for him he has picked such a bad student. We tried all day today but my natural knack of not being able to catch fish kicked in and as could be expected we caught nothing. We plan on trying again tomorrow so maybe for one day the curse will be lifted and we'll catch something. I would love to catch just one fish that we could cook on the grill while we are here.
