We arrived safe and sound at Shipshewana Indiana and were greeted to Indiana with tornado warnings. Since we left Florida; we have had to evacuate our camper and hang out in the ranger station in Alabama due to a tornado, drove thru thunder storms with 60 MPH winds in Jackson Mississippi that made it seem like I was pulling the trailer on a sheet of ice, went through at least three days of tornado warnings in Branson and now they have followed us here to Shipshewana. The easiest way to keep track of our travels might be to watch the weather channel and just look for major storm centers.
We have been busy shopping and tasting all of this Amish cooking. They sure know how to cook and bake around here. There isn't a lot to do here besides shop and eat so we are doing way too much of both. One of my favorite foods is Amish peanut butter (I picked some up for my baby sister but I'll probably eat it before I see her); it tastes like it has marshmallow and honey added to it. (Seems like most of my blogs are about food, hmmmm guess I'm more like Homer Simpson than I thought).
We are enjoying the sights here but are looking forward to getting home and seeing the kids. It's time to start picking on Kelsey again. (Can you believe she is starting to drive next week, stay off of the roads in Michigan) Maybe we could have Lynn move here and all we would have to worry about her driving is a horse and carriage. Dustin is still dreaming that he can beat this old guy at golf so I guess we will soon see how that works out.
U better at least save me a taste of that peanut butter and keep the tornadoes away from me
