Ahoy Mates

As you can see by the picture, navigating a boat in treacherous waters is a an extremely stressful job. (Don't let the relaxed look fool you, I was on the lookout for the countless hazards that surrounded us). We spent the day on a pontoon boat cruising on the Homosassa River. Besides sightseeing we did some fishing and had a great time. We caught some mangrove snappers (they're like perch on steroids and taste great). Last time we grilled them in garlic butter and really enjoyed that fish dinner.

I participated in the first annual Elite Campground four man golf tournament last Sunday. It was a scrambles format and true to form, my team came in dead last. I guess there must be some sort of bragging rights associated with losing a first annual tournament but I think I'll stay low key on that one. Golfing all winter has been fun but I have almost given up hope of ever being a good golfer. I am really looking to forward to heading North and golfing with Jerry and Joel this summer. Dustin bought some new clubs and thinks he's ready to whip up on me, so it should be a lot of fun giving him a few lessons. Sheila says : "Time will tell who gets bragging rights".

  1. I am not sure about the hat..... you may need to come back to Mi soon so we can get your clothing choices back into shape. You have adapted to the locals....not good!!
