We thought it was time to do a little kayaking so we headed out to find the right spot. We found a State Park nearby and had little difficulty locating the kayak launch area as it was well marked by the above sign. We walked down to the waters edge and decided "yup this is the spot". Fortunately we decided to take a little stroll along the bank just to check out the river and we stumbled across the second sign. Now I don't know about you but there is no way I want to go kayaking with the gators. I've got this phobia about swimming with things that have bigger teeth than me. For that to even potentially happen, two things would have to occur:
#1. There would have to be at least a dozen other kayaks in the water
and
#2. I would have to be 100% sure that I could paddle faster than all of them.
In the last picture, no that is not an alligator. Some poor guy was loading up his boat, but when he got out of his truck he put it in reverse instead of park. Talk about having a bad day, I know his pain.
(He really does know the pain of a car taking off when you get out without it being in park. It was VERY ugly!!!)

well people have to be kayaking in that very same water or they wouldn't have put the first sign up. I mean seriously alligators get into poeple's pools down there and they hang out on golf courses, I am sure they are in every pond and lake down there, just don't fall out!
