Sheila 3, Me 0

Went fishing today and had a good time. Sheila caught a good sized ladyfish and two huge blue crabs. (What do you think that Butch caught?) They say ladyfish are not edible so we threw it back and we didn't have a net so the crabs got off. She really had a good time catching it and it was fun to watch her reel it in because they fight and jump out of the water. One strange thing about fishing down here is the bait. We used live shrimp and they were big ones. Seems like kind of a waste to use shrimp that big as bait but it is the way things are done here. Once again no seafood for dinner as eating the bait just didn't seem like the right thing to do.

We went for a sunset cruise at the local state park last night and had a ball. They have a large pontoon boat that cruises down river to the Gulf of Mexico and drops anchor. Then they serve snacks and you just chat while watching the sun set on the water, it's gorgeous and all in all was a very good trip. During the cruising part of the trip the park director kept us entertained telling us sea stories. Now I've spun a few sea stories in my time but I can't hold a candle to this guy.
