Just my Luck. We left Michigan and headed south to get to warm weather. The temps here in Norfolk are the coldest ever for this time of the year. Brrrrrrrr 35 degrees and a stiff brreze off the ocean. It's COLD. At least the view is outstanding. The bay is directly across from the camper and right now there is a ton of ocean freighters cruising by and anchoring out in front of us. It's pretty cool to see.
Made the trip from Bull Run to First Landing State Park today. First Landing State Park is in Viginia Beach, Virgina and is on Chesapeake Bay. Everything went well. For the first time we did not drive through snow and more importantly we managed to get here without getting lost.
We had a good time in Warrenton visiting Ron and Nancy. The park was a great place to stay and wildlife (deer & squirrels) were everywhere. While we were there we got the first class tour of Ron's fire station. We also got some of Nancy's good home cooking. Most of the time we just hung out and relaxed which is exactly what we were looking forward to.
Is it too soon to say you're getting the hang of it? :)
ReplyDeleteit's such a bummer that it is not warmer! Well at least you are heading in the right direction for the warmth to come soon. It is cold up here as well, about the same temp. We have had some snow flurries but nothing here has stuck yet. Don't forget while on this great adventure you need to be picking up trinkets for me along the way :).
